Kastamonu University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Musicology Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Sıtkı Akarsu was awarded the ‘Golden Pen’ award for his book on Turkish Folk Music.
In the ceremony held in Mihrabat Grove in the Beykoz district of Istanbul, the ‘Golden Pen-Golden Human’ awards were given to their owners with the participation of many important names from the world of culture, art, and medicine. The programme was hosted by actors and writers Mustafa Sefa Güvenir, Dr. Ender Saraç, and Cemrenaz Turhan.
Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, President of Darülaceze Hamza Cebeci, Prof. Dr. Güler Ertan, photographer Ozan Sağdıç, Prof. Dr. Recep Yücel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cihat Yaycı, writer Sinan Yağmur, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Aydın, and photographer İbrahim Zaman attended the award ceremony.
