Kastamonu University School of Civil Aviation and Aviation Club students held the third event within the scope of AVI-X conferences with the participation of TALPA representative Airbus A330 captain pilot Mr Lütfi Başyiğit as a speaker.

In addition to Prof. Dr. Engin Kanbur, Director of the School of Civil Aviation, and faculty members, Kastamonu Airport Deputy Director Mustafa Şabanoğlu, Kastamonu Airport HAVAŞ representatives Kemal Emrah Öcal and Serkan Öz, and students attended the meeting.

The conference started with the opening speech of Prof. Dr. Engin Kanbur after a minute of silence and the National Anthem. Then, TALPA representative Airbus A330 captain pilot Lütfi Başyi informed the students about the history and development of the aviation sector, sector needs, working conditions, employment opportunities, qualifications required to become a pilot, and career opportunities.

During the conference, which was held in a question-and-answer style, students had the opportunity to ask many questions they were curious about and to be informed. During his speech, Başyiğit asked questions to the students and gave various gifts to those who knew.

The event, where students were both informed and entertained, lasted for about three hours. After the speech, Prof. Dr. Kanbur presented a plaque to Başyiğit in memory of the day. The conference ended after the collective photo shoot.
