Kastamonu University and the Kastamonu Ministry of National Education organised a “Digital Bullying” workshop to draw attention to cyberbullying and raise awareness.
The “Digital Bullying (3D Emotions, Thoughts, and Behaviors)” workshop held in the conference hall of the Kastamonu Provincial Ministry of National Education was attended by Prof.Dr.Ahmet Kaçar, Dean of the Faculty of Education of our University, Hasan Gümüş, Provincial Director of National Education, academicians, psychologists, police cyber branch police officers, social workers, education managers, and teachers.
The workshop addressed the following topics: elements of digital bullying, parental roles in digital bullying, teacher roles in digital bullying, school measures to prevent digital bullying, national and local policies to be developed on digital bullying, digital security, privacy, and addiction relations.
Speaking at the workshop's opening, Kastamonu, Director of National Education Hasan Gümüş, emphasized in his opening speech that the world is experiencing rapid change and technological development.
Stating that students will benefit from the tools of the digital age but will not be enslaved by these tools, Gümüş said that students will take precautions for a healthy future in cooperation with experts and discuss the best methods to deal with risks.
He expressed his belief that the future will be shaped more robustly within the framework of Turkey's educational vision. He thanked everyone who contributed to the activities carried out in this process.
