The "March 8 Women's Day Women Academics Exhibition," organized by our university's Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, was opened on March 8, 2024, at the Central Library Fine Arts Gallery.
Organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design on the occasion of March 8 Women's Day, the "March 8 Women's Day Women Academics Exhibition," curated by Res. Assist. Yeliz Ökdem Ateş, featuring the works of 13 female academics, was presented to the appreciation of art lovers.
Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Prof. Erol Yıldır, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Prof. Dr. Alptekin Sökmen, academic and administrative staff, as well as many students, attended the group exhibition, where the works of 13 female academics were exhibited.
Academicians emphasized the importance of women for humanity, as highlighted in the exhibition, where the difficulties and beauties experienced by women, who are an essential part of life, were described. Prof. Erol Yıldır, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, who made a short speech at the exhibition, stated that they tried to explain women who are part of life as mothers, daughters, sisters, lovers, and wives through the eyes of women. Prof. Yıldır wished women to continue their lives as independent, accessible, and healthy individuals and thanked all the academicians who contributed to the exhibition.
The exhibition, which will be open between March 8 and 14, 2024, at the Fine Art Gallery of our university, is waiting for art lovers.
