Under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and coordinated by the General Directorate of Forestry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry under the slogan "Breath for the Future, Breath for the Republic", November 11 National Afforestation Day activities were held with the participation of our university's Faculty of Forestry.
Organized in 81 provinces simultaneously, the sapling planting event was held in Kastamonu at the Gelersin location on the Kastamonu-Karabük road. The "Breath for the Future, Breath for the Republic" event, in which Kastamonu University Faculty of Forestry also took part, started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem. After the protocol speeches, the event ended with the participation of protocol members, law enforcement units, soldiers, students and citizens, under the leadership of Kastamonu Governor Meftun Dallı, 400 saplings were planted and watered.
On November 11, National Afforestation Day, the program organized in Kastamonu was attended by Kastamonu University Faculty of Forestry Vice Dean Assistant Professor Özkan Evcin, Vice Head of Forest Engineering Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Nurten Yer Çelik, Faculty of Forestry Lecturer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferhat Kara, Assoc. Assist. Döndü Demirel, Assist. Büşra Kalleci and the families of the academic staff participated.
