Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, and the accompanying delegation visited Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) President Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Aliy on April 22, 2025.
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, General Coordinator of Foreign Relations Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Öztürk Akcaoğlu, and the Faculty of Education, Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education faculty member, Assist. Prof.Dr. İbrahim Fatih Demirel took part in the meeting. YEE Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cahid Şenel and YEE Head of Education Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Boylu was also present during the visit.
Within the scope of the visit, comprehensive discussions were held about the possible cooperation between our University and the Yunus Emre Institute. In particular, issues such as joint projects for promoting Turkish language and culture at the international level, academic exchange programs, student and academic staff mobility, and cultural events were discussed.
Our Rector stated that the cooperation with the Yunus Emre Institute is of great importance within the framework of the internationalization vision of our University. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, who also informed about the academic and cultural projects carried out by our university in recent years, stated that they would be pleased to share their experiences in this field and contribute to joint studies.
Yunus Emre Institute President Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Aliy expressed his satisfaction with the visit and said that they follow the scientific and cultural background of our University with appreciation. Emphasizing that the contribution of universities to the projects carried out by the Institute abroad is extremely valuable, Prof. Dr. Aliy stated that a strong working ground can be created with our University, especially in teaching Turkish, cultural diplomacy, and academic cooperation.
During the meeting, which ended with expressions of mutual goodwill and gratitude, gifts were also presented in memory of the visit.
