A cooperation protocol was signed between Kastamonu University and the Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports to enhance collaboration in education, sports, and social activities. The protocol aims to improve students' physical, cultural, and social development. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal and Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Sami Kuşçu attended the signing ceremony.
As part of the protocol, university students will be encouraged to participate more actively in sports, arts, and social events. Volunteer activities, social responsibility projects, and efforts to combat addiction will be supported. Furthermore, more excellent opportunities for student clubs to organize various events will be provided.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal stated that the protocol would support students' academic success and help them develop in social, cultural, and sporting fields. Emphasizing that the university’s resources would be utilized through joint efforts with the Provincial Directorate, the Rector underlined that students would be encouraged to use sports facilities, volunteer, and participate in social projects.
Provincial Director Sami Kuşçu highlighted the importance of sports and social activities in developing young people, noting that the protocol would increase students’ engagement in such events. He stated that university students would gain access to local sports facilities and that further cooperation with the university would be established by developing joint projects.
Within the scope of the protocol, Kastamonu University students will benefit from the facilities affiliated with the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. Internship and practice opportunities will be provided for Faculty of Sports Sciences students. Additionally, the Provincial Directorate will offer coaching and technical support for sporting events organized by the University. Plans will also be made to use sports facilities and resources operated by the Directorate.
Moreover, Kastamonu University will also support the Provincial Directorate in various areas. Some university-owned sports facilities, halls, and educational spaces will be available for joint events and projects. By utilizing the knowledge and experience of students and academic staff, joint initiatives in sports sciences and social responsibility projects will be carried out.
