Founded in 2006, Kastamonu University celebrates its 19th anniversary this year. Our University, which has made significant developments in the fields of education and research, continues to grow with its students and academic staff by signing various projects.
Our University, which has gained an important position at regional and national level, continues to lead academic studies and projects as Turkey's only specialized university in the field of Forestry and Nature Tourism with its academic achievements and scientific contributions.
Our University, which has 14 faculties, 3 institutes, 2 colleges and 13 vocational schools, provides education to approximately 27,980 students. With 959 academic and 721 administrative staff, the institution has a wide alumni network across the country with 66,509 graduates to date.
Our university, which has accelerated its internationalization efforts in recent years, increases its cultural diversity by hosting 1,679 international students from 58 different countries. While ranking in prestigious rankings such as Times Higher Education and QS World University Rankings, it also increases its success in national rankings.
Our University, which stands out with the importance it attaches to scientific research and innovative projects, continues its academic studies with 24 research and application centers. Increasing its research funds through TÜBİTAK and TÜSEB projects, the institution stands out with innovative projects in fields such as environment, forestry, natural tourism and biotechnology. Our University, which has recorded a significant increase in scientific publications and impact factors, strengthens its place in world rankings.
Continuing its investments to increase the quality of education, our University strengthens its digital infrastructure and offers students a learning environment suitable for the needs of the age. The institution, which offers a wide academic range by diversifying its undergraduate and graduate programs, increases industrial collaborations and project supports in order to contribute to local and national development.
