The program titled “The Future of Education with Metaverse and Artificial Intelligence,” organized by Kastamonu University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, with researcher author Taşkın Koçak as a speaker, was held on February 27, 2025, at the Central Library Sezai Karakoç Hall. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atalan, academicians, and students attended the event.
The event discussed how artificial intelligence and metaverse technologies can be integrated into everyday life and the education system. Taşkın Koçak, known for his work in the field, emphasized the increasing importance of digitalization in education by detailing the contributions of these technologies to learning processes. He explained how artificial intelligence-supported learning systems, virtual classroom environments, and digital teaching materials will be shaped in the future.
Interactive presentations supported the program, and participants were actively involved. Video screenings with virtual reality glasses and examples of artificial intelligence-based learning systems were presented, allowing participants to observe these technologies. Koçak stated that artificial intelligence can offer personalized learning experiences in education and suggested how instructors and students can adapt to this transformation.
Koçak also emphasized the importance of digital literacy and the necessity of conscious and ethical use of artificial intelligence and metaverse technologies. The event, which attracted great interest, continued with a question-and-answer session. While the participants had the opportunity to ask what they wondered about artificial intelligence and metaverse, Koçak's evaluations attracted great interest.
The program ended with the presentation of a gift to Taşkın Koçak by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal.
