Kastamonu University and Kastamonu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office signed a protocol for cooperation in probation services on February 14, 2025. Kastamonu Chief Public Prosecutor Ercan Ceylan and our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal attended the signing ceremony, Kastamonu Director of Probation İlker Öcal was also present.
The protocol aims to contribute to reintegrating individuals benefiting from probation into society by strengthening the cooperation between institutions. Within the protocol framework, individual counseling, group work, art and sports activities will be organized for individuals benefiting from probation. These activities are intended to contribute to the psychosocial development of individuals and facilitate their integration into society.
In addition, vocational qualification courses and career planning support will be provided to support the adaptation of ex-convicts to the labor market. In this way, it is aimed for individuals on probation to adapt to social life and gain economic independence.
At the ceremony, both sides emphasized that the cooperation will provide social benefits and is important in increasing the effectiveness of probation services. They wished to achieve fruitful results in the long term. He also noted that the cooperation will contribute significantly to social healing.
