The first Board of Directors Meeting of Kastamonu Technopolis in 2025 was held on 29 January 2025 under the chairmanship of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, with the participation of the board members at Kastamonu Technopolis Administration and Incubation Center building.
Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Kastamonu Technopolis Prof. Dr. Alperen Kaymakcı, Provincial General Assembly President Doğan Ünlü, Kastamonu Deputy Mayor Abdullah Burak Livan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, KATSO Chairman Oğuz Fındıkoğlu, Business People Hüseyin Avni Üster and Tuncay Yılmaz attended the meeting.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, who made the opening speech, emphasized that Kastamonu Technopolis has carried out important projects that contribute to regional development and stated that the targets set for 2025 would contribute to the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem and the support of technological innovations.
In his speech, he also expressed his sorrow over the death of Dursun Ergin, President of the Kastamonu Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (KESOB) and Kastamonu Teknokent General Assembly Member. He wished God's mercy to the deceased and condolences to his family and relatives.
In addition, our Rector stated that they welcomed the appointment of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kasım Yenigün, who served as the General Manager of Kastamonu Technopolis, as the General Manager of Combating Desertification and Erosion of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation, and Climate Change in 2024, and wished Yenigün success in his duty and thanked him for his contributions to Kastamonu Technopolis.
Then, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Kastamonu Technopolis, Prof. Dr. Alperen Kaymakcı, presented the activities in 2024 and the targets for 2025.
At the meeting, the activities carried out by Kastamonu Technopolis in the first month of 2025 were evaluated. In addition, issues such as projects planned during the year, new initiatives, and financial targets were emphasized. The members of the Board of Directors exchanged views on the strategies and targets for the next period.
