Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal received the students of Kastamonu University Daday Nafi and Ümit Çeri Vocational School of Cookery Programme, who ranked in the GastroAntalya: International Gastronomy and Culinary Stars Meeting held in Antalya on 15 January 2025, Kastamonu University Daday Nafi and Ümit Çeri Vocational School of Cookery Programme students were received in his office.
In the international event, where more than 4 thousand participants from 40 countries took part this year, the students of our University achieved great success by winning medals in 9 different plates they competed in. The team successfully represented our University internationally with 4 Gold, 3 Silver, and 2 Bronze Medals.
During the visit to the Rectorate office, the students shared their success and the experiences they gained during the competition process with our Rector. During the visit, Daday Nafi and Ümit Çeri Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Burhan Sevim, Vice Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Burhan Sevim, Deputy Director Lect. Aygün Seyhan Zengin, Head of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services, Lecturer. Lecturer. Ülkü Mine Önek and Cookery Programme Lecturer. Lecturer. Alper Çevik was also present.
Our Rector congratulated our students for their achievements and expressed his satisfaction with the medals brought to our University. He also congratulated the lecturers who contributed to the work of our students who continued their success last year.
Our Rector wished that the successes would continue to increase and thanked all the stakeholders who supported the competition. At the end of the visit, our Rector wished our students continued success and said they would always be with them in national and international arenas.
