Kastamonu Governor Meftun Dallı visited our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal in his office on 2 January 2024.
Our Vice-Rectors, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atalan, and Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, were also present during the visit. During the visit, issues such as strengthening the cooperation between the University and the city and increasing joint studies in education, culture, and social projects were discussed.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal expressed his satisfaction with the visit and emphasized that the University will continue to support all kinds of projects for the city's development.
Governor Meftun Dallı drew attention to the contributions of Kastamonu University to the region and stated that these studies are of great importance for the development of Kastamonu. He also thanked the Rector for the interest and hospitality shown.
After the office visit, Governor Meftun Dallı and Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal visited Kastamonu Technopolis and Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and received information about the projects. Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, TTO General Manager Prof. Dr. Alperen Kaymakçı, and Teknokent management also accompanied the visit.
Information was received about the projects carried out here. The contributions of Teknokent and the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) to the technological and economic development of Kastamonu were evaluated. In addition, meetings were held with the companies operating within the Technopolis, and issues such as university-industry cooperation, patents, and commercialization were discussed.
The visit ended with the presentation of a plaque by Prof. Dr. Alperen Kaymakçı to Governor Meftun Dallı and a souvenir photo.
