The Rector of Turkey-Azerbaijan University, Prof. Dr. Vilayat Valiyev, visited Kastamonu University Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, in his office on 2 January 2025.
During the visit, the two universities exchanged ideas on developing education, research, and cultural cooperation. The meeting discussed joint projects and academic studies, and future cooperation opportunities were evaluated.
Within the scope of the meeting, a cooperation protocol was signed to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities. The protocol covers exchanging students and academics, conducting joint research projects, and organizing cultural events. Both sides stated that the protocol would deepen the two countries' academic relations and produce concrete results.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, expressed his satisfaction with the visit and stated that Turkey and Azerbaijan have strong ties with the understanding of 'Two states, one nation,' and he believes that these ties will be further strengthened with sustainable projects in the academic field.
Prof. Dr. Vilayat Valiyev expressed his happiness that the strong friendship ties between Turkey and Azerbaijan have been strengthened through scientific cooperation. He thanked our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, for his interest and hospitality.
The visit ended with the presentation of gifts and taking a souvenir photo.
