Kastamonu University continues to work in line with its vision of specialization in forestry and nature tourism. In this context, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, together with our Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, visited Kastamonu Forestry Regional Director Hakan Yaslıkaya in his office on 10 December 2024.
During the visit, ongoing cooperation in forestry and nature tourism and the studies carried out in these fields were discussed. Views were exchanged on issues such as the protection of natural resources and sustainable tourism practices, and the ecological values of the region were highlighted.
Hakan Yaslıkaya, Regional Director of Forestry, expressed his satisfaction with the projects carried out in cooperation with our University and emphasized the contributions of these studies to the region. He also thanked our Rector and the accompanying Vice-Rector for their visit.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, thanked Hakan Yaslıkaya for his support and emphasized that our University continues to carry out its forestry and nature tourism activities in cooperation with public institutions. Our Rector stated that they aim to contribute to regional development with this cooperation and projects.
The visit ended after exchanging mutual good wishes and a photo shoot in memory of the day.
