Kastamonu University and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Kastamonu Women and Young Entrepreneurs Boards signed a cooperation protocol to improve the entrepreneurship ecosystem and contribute to sustainable development.
The protocol was signed with the participation of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, TOBB Kastamonu Young Entrepreneurs Board Chairman Taner Tonbul, and TOBB Kastamonu Women Entrepreneurs Board Chairman Halime Nilgül Şener at a ceremony held in the Rectorate office.
The main purpose of the protocol is to promote the entrepreneurship culture within Kastamonu University by supporting the participation of women and young people in the economy and increasing social awareness towards sustainable development goals. The studies to be carried out in this context are aimed to make significant contributions to regional and national development.
It is planned to organize joint projects, training, and workshops between our university and the boards to mentor women and young entrepreneurs, increase internship opportunities for students, and spread the entrepreneurship culture. In addition, making applications for national and international funds and contributing to the region's socio-economic development are among the essential elements of the cooperation.
Speaking at the ceremony, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, stated that this cooperation will support the spirit of entrepreneurship and further strengthen Kastamonu University's vision for sustainable development.
