Within the scope of the ‘500 Scientists’ program carried out by the ‘Bolashak’ organization affiliated with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, three guest lecturers from Kazakhstan came to our University. They started their internship, research, and study activities at Kastamonu University for one year.

Guest academicians Prof. Dr. Elmira Boribay from Almaty Narxoz University in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aizhan Utarbayeva and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gulmira Satybaldiyeva from S. Seifullin Agro Technical Research University in Astana, Kazakhstan, visited our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, on 28 November 2024.

During the visit, the guest academics met with our Rector about the academic environment at our University and the internship opportunities offered to them. The guest academicians expressed their gratitude for the opportunities provided during their visit and emphasized that the academic cooperation between the two countries should be further deepened.

Prof. Dr. Kutay Oktay, Head of the Department of Tourism Management, who carried out the consultancy services of the guest researchers, also took part in the visit. Our Rector stated that it is essential to strengthen cooperation with Kazakhstan in higher education and thanked the guest academicians for their visit to our University. He also thanked them for a successful internship and research process.
