Our University ranked 63rd in the 2024-2025 URAP Türkiye ranking, which includes 190 universities across Turkey. Our University, which ranked 81st in the 2023-2024 URAP ranking, has risen 18 places this year. In the 2024-2025 URAP Turkey ranking, our University ranked 18th among 119 universities established after 2000. Kastamonu University ranks 48th among 106 universities with a Faculty of Medicine.
In the ‘2024-2025 Türkiye Ranking’, where the academic performances of universities are ranked, data published by Clarivate Analytics/InCites and YÖK were used. While the number of indicators used in the URAP Türkiye Ranking since 2009 was 9 to evaluate the academic achievements of universities more comprehensively, this number has increased to 15 in the last two years. Number of articles, number of articles per capita, number of citations, number of citations per capita, number of scientific documents, number of scientific papers per capita, number of PhD graduates, PhD student ratio, students per faculty member, number of TÜBİTAK projects, number of domestic and international joint articles with other universities and number of joint articles with universities in different countries are used as indicators in URAP rankings.
According to the URAP ranking results in previous years, Kastamonu University ranked 87th among 166 universities in 2019-2020 and 73rd among 166 universities in 2020-2021. In 2021-2022, it ranked 76th among 179 universities. With the addition of new indicators in the URAP Türkiye ranking in 2022-2023 when the number of indicators increased from 9 to 15, Kastamonu University ranked 89th among 183 universities and ranked 81st among 188 universities in 2023-2024. In the 2024-2025 URAP Türkiye ranking, our University rose 18 places and ranked 63rd.
