The Interuniversity Council (UAK) Executive Board Meeting hosted by Kastamonu University was held on 25 October 2024 at the Senate Hall. ÜAK 43rd Term President and Rector of Afyon Kocatepe University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş chaired the meeting, which was attended by ÜAK Board Members and ÜAK representatives.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, who made the opening speech, expressed his gratitude for hosting the members of the Board of Directors and representatives of UAK in our city and our University and thanked them. ÜAK 43rd Term President Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş thanked our Rector for hosting and hospitality.
Prof. Dr. Recep Bentli, Rector of Fırat University and Chairman of the Commission for the Examination of the Equivalence of Academic Titles Received Abroad, Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş, Rector of Isparta University of Applied Sciences and Chairman of the Education Council for Science-Technical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Çatal, Rector of Çankırı Karatekin University and Chairman of the Education Commission, Prof. Dr. Harun Çiftçi, Rector of Çankırı Karatekin University and Chairman of the Education Commission, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Necmi İlhan, Chairman of the Education Council for Medical and Health Sciences and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Balcı, Secretary General of ÜAK.
During the meeting, the Interuniversity Council's current activities and agenda items were discussed. In addition, the work of universities and current developments in higher education were evaluated.
After the meeting, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal hosted the members of the Board of Directors of ÜAK at the Rectorate and gave information about the activities of our University.
Our Rector emphasised the academic projects, research activities, and student-oriented services carried out by our University and the importance of possible collaborations with other universities. He also drew attention to the historical and cultural richness of Kastamonu province and gave information about the region's natural beauties and traditional values.
