Kastamonu University and Northern Anatolia Development Agency (KUZKA) signed a cooperation protocol on 9 October 2024 between Turkey Cyber Homeland Programme Cyber Security Training Cooperation Protocol.
The cooperation protocol was signed by KUZKA Secretary General Serkan Genç and Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal at the ceremony held in the Rectorate office. The protocol is aimed to train competent experts in cyber security and increase digital security awareness.
The protocol aims to enable the students of our University to receive education in the field of cybersecurity and develop their careers in this direction. Northern Anatolia Development Agency will provide support for the planning and implementation of the training processes of the students within the scope of the Turkey Cyber Homeland Programme.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, in his statement after the signing of the protocol, stated that cyber security has a strategic importance in today's world and stated that this cooperation will contribute to the students studying at our university to be equipped the field of cyber security. He also stated that the cooperation with KUZKA will provide important support to the development of the region and the training of qualified human resources needed by the country.
Serkan Genç, Secretary General of KUZKA, emphasized that Turkey Cyber Homeland Programme is an important initiative on a national scale. Genç stated that they are happy to initiate training activities for the students of our University with this protocol and stated that they will train the experts needed in the field of cyber security together in the future.
Within the scope of the protocol, cyber security training for Kastamonu University students will be carried out both online and face-to-face. Students who are successful in the training will be included in internship programs and will be brought together with the sector.
