Kastamonu University succeeded greatly at TEKNOFEST 2024, Turkey's largest aviation, space, and technology festival. Blue Inventor Team (BIT) team came second in Turkey in the Machine Manufacturing and Automotive category of the ‘2242 University Students Research Projects Competition’ held at Adana Şakirpaşa Airport.
Buğra Çelebi, a student of the Department of International Trade and Logistics, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, was the team captain. In contrast, Tuğçe Kızılkoca, Yunus Emre Almaoğlu, and Orhan Yardım, students of the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Beyzanur Tekahlat from the Department of International Trade and Logistics, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Halil İbrahim Şanal, a student of the School of Civil Aviation, contributed to the team.
The team, which received great acclaim with their project titled ‘Mechanical Hysteria Approach for Automatic Damage Detection and Repair Command in Robotic Systems’, impressed the jury with their innovative approach and was awarded the second prize. In addition, Blue Inventor Team (BIT) made it to the finals of TEKNOFEST Champions League and received their awards from TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın and BAYKAR Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar.
