Kastamonu University and Hitit University met for the second time to evaluate academic and R&D-oriented collaborations, especially in specialization areas.
During the meetings hosted by Hitit University; specialization studies, Performance Strategic Planning, Hitit University Action Plan (HEP) system, Technology Transfer Office Joint Stock Companies activities, education, and the accreditation process were discussed in all aspects.
Regarding the meetings held in Kastamonu, Hitit University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Öztürk stated that they made various predictions about cooperation and joint studies between the two universities.
Prof. Dr. Öztürk stated that they aim to make higher contributions by focusing on efficiency, capacity building, and mutual learning within the cooperation framework He also emphasized that they will continue to improve Hitit University's existing education and production capacity by turning deficiencies into opportunities and that they aim to achieve concrete outputs with this cooperation.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal stated that differences in practice arise due to adopting different methods in the same study subjects in universities in Turkey.
Emphasizing that such meetings are important for institutions working in similar fields to produce common solutions and ideas, our Rector expressed his belief that cooperation between universities will contribute to more efficient and qualified results. He also noted that intensive work will continue on a few particularly important issues from the cooperation areas identified in previous meetings.
During the meeting, the approaches of both universities in setting their strategic goals and measuring their performance were shared. Afterward, the participants discussed the steps that can be taken to increase the opportunities for academic and technological cooperation and exchanged ideas on joint projects in existing areas of cooperation.
