Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, Rector of our University, was re-elected as a member of the board of directors of ÜAK at the 260th Interuniversity Council (ÜAK) Meeting.
The 260th meeting of the Interuniversity Council was held on 27 September 2024 at the Higher Education Council (YÖK) building with the participation of Higher Education Council (YÖK) President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, members of the ÜAK Board of Directors, rectors of state and foundation universities and university representatives.
At the meeting, after discussing the issues on the agenda, ÜAK management came together to determine its new members. It re-elected our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal as a member of the ÜAK Board of Directors.
ÜAK, established to ensure cooperation and coordination among universities in Turkey, stands out as an important platform that contributes to developing the higher education system. The Board of Directors of ÜAK consists of three members elected by the General Assembly of the Interuniversity Council from the fields of Science and Engineering, Health and Social Sciences, and one member from the field of Fine Arts. In addition, the President of ÜAK is also on the board of directors.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, with his re-election as a member of ÜAK, will continue his duty in the coming period and will continue to work towards strengthening inter-university cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal expressed his gratitude for his re-election as a member of ÜAK and said, ‘I am honored to be deemed worthy of this important duty once again. We will continue to contribute to the development of our universities together.’ Our Rector thanked YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, UAK President Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş, and all UAK members and colleagues who supported him for his re-election as a member of the Board of Directors of UAK.
