Kastamonu University has completed its preparations for the 2024-2025 academic year. Our University, one of the most preferred universities in Turkey, will start its new academic year on 23 September 2024.
In our university, more than 28 thousand students who will study in 199 associate degree and undergraduate programs and 101 graduate programs are preparing to start classes. According to the YKS placement results this year, our university has taken an important place among the preferred universities by reaching a 96.70% occupancy rate in undergraduate programs and a 100% occupancy rate in associate degree programs.
Aiming to meet not only academic but also the social, cultural, and sportive expectations of our students, our University offers a comprehensive experience with its research and application centers, Central Research Laboratory with TÜRKAK accreditation, student laboratories, Technology Transfer Office and Ay Yıldız Sports and Life Centre. These facilities aim to contribute to our student's academic success as well as their personal development, social interaction, and career goals. In addition, Kastamonu University's green campus environment enriches our students' university life by offering them the opportunity to rest and have a pleasant time in touch with nature.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal emphasised the achievements and goals of Kastamonu University in his statement before the new academic year. Our Rector stated that our University aims to achieve a strong position not only in Turkey but also in the international arena, and said, ‘It is our greatest source of pride that our students graduate as individuals equipped with the qualities that will shape their academic success, social development, and careers.’
Stating that our university attracted attention with its high preference rates this year, our Rector said, ‘This success is a result of the qualified education offered by our University, our well-equipped academic staff, and our wide range of opportunities that support the development of our students. It is our top priority to provide our students with the highest quality education and to provide all our opportunities to achieve their career goals.’
Our Rector also stated that Kastamonu University, in addition to having a strong academic infrastructure, offers its students a living space intertwined with nature with its green campus vision. Finally, our Rector concluded his words by saying, ‘I wish success to all our students as we start the new academic year and I believe that we will write new success stories with them.
