Our university signed a cooperation protocol with the Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of Social Security (SGİM) for the activities to be realized within the scope of the “Year of Pensioners”.
On August 20, 2024, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, hosted Emin Şahin, Provincial Director of Kastamonu Social Security, in his office. During the visit, the protocol, which will reinforce the cooperation between the two institutions, was signed by our Rector and Provincial Director Şahin.
Within the protocol framework, various activities and projects will be carried out as part of the “Year of Pensioners”. Within the scope of cooperation, it aims to organize social and cultural activities to improve retirees' quality of life. By sharing its academic knowledge and experience with Kastamonu Social Security Institution, our university will support the active participation of individuals in the retirement process in society.
Our Rector expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with Kastamonu SGİM and emphasized that collaboration with social security institutions is crucial in realising projects for different segments of society. He also stated that this protocol will improve retirees' quality of life. He concluded his words by wishing cooperation would benefit our University and retired citizens.
Provincial Director Emin Şahin stated that with the signed protocol, both the quality of life of pensioners will increase and university students will have the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and experience of pensioners. Şahin thanked our Rector for this meaningful cooperation and expressed his belief that the protocol will provide essential gains for the people of Kastamonu.
