A cooperation protocol was signed between Kastamonu University and Luigj Gurakuqi University in Albania. A protocol was signed between the two universities to strengthen cooperation and conduct joint studies before the workshop titled "Hasan Rıza Pasha, Hero of Iskodra and Turkey-Albania Relations from Past to Present," held in Iskodra, Albania.
At the signing ceremony held with the participation of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, and the Rector of Luigj Gurakuqi University, Prof. Dr. Rajmonda Kçira, the importance of academic cooperation between the two universities was emphasized. The protocol covers joint research projects, student exchange programs, and academic staff cooperation, especially in science and social sciences, education, and tourism.
Our rector stated that they believe that the historical and cultural bonds between Turkey and Albania from the past to the present will be further strengthened through academic cooperation and that the signed protocol will allow both universities and countries to get to know each other better and to use the potential for collaboration more effectively.
Prof. Dr. Rajmonda Kçira, Rector of Luigj Gurakuqi University, stated that they believed that such cooperation between the two countries would increase the cultural and academic experiences of students and academicians and that the protocol would contribute to the further deepening of relations between Turkey and Albania.
Following the signing ceremony, which was graced by our university's general coordinator of external relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Öztürk Akcaoğlu, representatives from the two universities convened to deliberate on potential areas of cooperation and future joint projects.
