Mindanao State University (MSU) President Atty. Basari D. Mapupuno and Dr. Apasrah Ameena Mapupuno, Faculty of Medicine, paid a series of meetings and visits to our University in order to strengthen their academic cooperation in Turkey.
President Mapupuno and Faculty of Medicine Faculty Member Dr. Mapupuno visited our University on 25 December 2023 and met with our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal.
During the visit, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, General Coordinator of Foreign Relations Dr. M. Öztürk Akcaoğlu and MSU Foreign Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Renato Pacaldo were present and discussed academic cooperation opportunities, student exchange programs, and joint research projects between the two universities.
President Mapupuno expressed that they would like to benefit from the university's experience in the field of education in order to maintain the strong ties between Kastamonu University and MSU and to explore new areas of cooperation. He also thanked our Rector for his interest and hospitality and expressed his hope that the mutual interaction and information sharing will continue to increase.
Our Rector emphasized their desire to establish closer cultural and academic relations with MSU and expressed his satisfaction with the visit, noting that such international collaborations promote knowledge sharing by increasing cultural interaction between students and academics.
Following the visit, a meeting between Kastamonu University and Mindanao State University was held at the Rectorate Meeting Hall and various issues were discussed. Among the agenda items of the meeting were double degree programs, student exchange programs, drone projects, faculty exchange, joint projects, laboratory studies, and tropical research center projects.
