Kastamonu University continues to contribute to the cultural and historical richness of our country. Organized by Enderun Hafizlar Community, "Şeb-i Arus Concert" special for the 750th Anniversary of Hz. Mevlana's Vuslat to God was held on December 29, 2023 at Sezai Karakoç Hall of the Central Library of our University.
Our academic and administrative staff, students and the public showed great interest in the event attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atalan, President of Şeyh Şaban-ı Veli Foundation Mehmet Çiftçi and protocol members.
At the opening of the program, Kahraman Şekercioğlu, Chief Imam-Katibi of Nasrullah Mosque, recited the Holy Qur'an. After the recitation, the sazende and hanende committee took the stage to perform the Şeb-i Arus concert.
Under the leadership of Muhammed Feyzi İbrahimoglu, the soloist of Enderun Hafizlar Ensemble, who made the opening speech, the sazende and hanende committee, consisting of ensemble members and guest artists, performed an unforgettable Shab-i Arus Concert.
The ensemble members included Erdem Yapıcıoğlu, Yiğit Enes Alıcı, Musa Kağan Uzun, Ramazan Yıldız and Karabük University Safranbolu Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Music staff tanbur player Hazar Ertürk; kamanche player Abdurrahman Özsağır from the same department; oud player Furkan Yılmaz from the same department; Bartın University Islamic History and Arts Department staff ney performer Muhammed Türe; Emin Bayram, a master of qanun making and also a qanun player from Ankara; violin player Osman Özdamarlar, a student of our University's Faculty of Fine Arts and Design; kudüm player Fikret Kuşoğlu, imam of Ferhat Paşa Mosque, a member of the Enderun Hafizlar Community; and bandir player Fatih Çatak.
The Şeb-i Arus Concert performed by the sazende and hanende team made the participants feel their commitment to Hz. Mevlana's universal messages of love and tolerance.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal thanked the sazende and hanende team at the end of the concert and shared his feelings by emphasizing the teachings of Mevlana.
Our Rector stated that art is a universal language and this special concert made the participants feel Mevlana's messages of love, tolerance and unity more deeply. He also thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the event and the participants, emphasizing that cultural interaction and understanding are strengthened by such events.
