In the 2023-2024 Turkey rankings published by URAP, which summarizes the academic performance of universities, indicators such as the number of articles, citations, total scientific documents, international joint articles, domestic joint articles and projects received from TÜBİTAK and the number of articles, citations, and doctoral students per faculty member were included.
While 9 indicators have been used in the URAP Turkey rankings since 2009, 6 new indicators were added to the nine last year, bringing the total number of indicators to 15. Summarizing the academic performance of universities, URAP 2023-2024 Turkey rankings used data from 2018–2022, published by Clarivate Analytics/InCites and YÖK.
Kastamonu University rose 8 places in URAP Turkey rankings for 2023-2024
Kastamonu University, which ranked 89th in the 2022-2023 URAP Turkey rankings, rose 8 places in this year's 2023-2024 URAP Turkey rankings and ranked 81st among 188 universities.
In the 2023-2024 URAP Turkey ranking of universities without a Faculty of Medicine, Kastamonu University continued its goal of becoming one of the leading higher education institutions with a total score of 621.5 points in all 8 categories with article score, citation score, scientific document score, doctorate score, faculty member / student score, international cooperation score, domestic cooperation score and TÜBİTAK project score, showing an increase compared to last year.
Kastamonu University, which aims to increase its quality standards and success graph, has an article score of 107.84, a citation score of 118.4, a scientific document score of 107.18, a doctorate score of 85.38, a faculty member / student score of 51.94, an international cooperation score of 61.4, a domestic cooperation score of 43.29, and a TÜBİTAK project score of 46.7.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal expressed his satisfaction with the rising graph of Kastamonu University in the 2023-2024 URAP Turkey rankings and thanked the academic and administrative staff. Stating that this success is a result of our university's sustainable quality understanding and goal-oriented, measurable, effective performance management strategy, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal emphasized that Kastamonu University has become a nationally and internationally recognized academic institution thanks to the intense efforts and determination of its faculty members.
