London-based higher education rating agency QS has announced its 2024 University Rankings in Europe and West Asia Region categories.
Our university ranked in the 601+ band among 690 universities in Europe in the QS Regional Ranking Category, and ranked 58th among 91 universities in the West Asia Regional Countries category. Our university has achieved a significant success by ranking 43rd as one of the 73 universities in Turkey that managed to enter the ranking.
In the regional ranking list of world universities prepared for QS 2024, international students, academic prestige, employer prestige, number of citations per article, workforce outputs, faculty student ratio, number of exchange students, number of internationally accredited faculties, international research network, number of articles per faculty and sustainability criteria were taken as basis.
Kastamonu University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal said that it makes us proud to see the outputs of the academic achievements of our university reflected in the lists of the best in the world. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal stated that in order to be successful, it is extremely important to create a sustainable quality understanding and system in all processes of the university, to adopt this understanding as a strategic goal and to implement an effective and sustainable performance management by mobilising the studies in line with the strategic plan goals.
Stating that he was very pleased with the success achieved in the QS 2024 rankings, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal stated that Kastamonu University wants to reinforce its success in Europe in the coming years with both the education and academic studies.
Stating that devoted work is the cornerstone of success, our Rector congratulated all academic and administrative staff who contributed to these achievements. In addition, our Rector thanked the President of the Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and the members of the Council of Higher Education for their encouragement and support in increasing the quality of research results and internationalisation.
