President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan appointed our Rector, Ahmet Hamdi Topal, as the Rector of our University, in accordance with Article 13 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 and Articles 2, 3 and 7 of the Presidential Decree No. 3.
Our Rector, who was reappointed to the position of Rector with the Presidential Decision published in the Official Gazette dated 1 August 2023.
Ahmet Hamdi Topal published a message on the occasion of his appointment: With the approval and appreciation of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoan, I have been reappointed as Rector of Kastamonu University.
I would like to express my gratitude to our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to our President of the Council of Higher Education, Mr. Erol Özvar, and to the Members of the Council of Higher Education, who have deemed me worthy of this honorable duty once again, and I would like to thank everyone who has suported me.
It is a great source of pride and honor for me to have the opportunity to serve our University, City and Country again.
The fact that I was deemed worthy and successful for this task is the result of our diligent and self-sacrificing work with our academic and administrative staff. I thanked to each and every one of them individually. Our aim is to grow and develop our University and to contribute to our city, region and country by creating value in this way.
Our priority in the next process; to focus on our projects with the same determination, to develop our institution, to make qualified collaborations with our stakeholders, and most important, to make an effort to make our students, who are our apple of the eye and our trust, useful, successful and high-responsibility individuals.
In order for our university to take its place among reputable universities, we will continue to work without slowing down in cooperation with our academic and administrative staff, students, public institutions and organizations, non-governmental organizations and everyone who will contribute to the development of our university.
Hereby, I wish that the decision of appointment will be beneficial to the members of our University, to the people, institutions and non-governmental organizations that support the success of our University, and to Kastamonu, the city of Saints."
